In Indore, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav recently unveiled a new 128-slice CT scan machine at MGM Medical College's Super Specialty Hospital and inaugurated a newly constructed (G+2) block at the Government Dental College. This block, costing approximately Rs 6 crore, was built to alleviate space constraints highlighted by the Dental Council of India. The advanced CT scan machine, donated by the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, is expected to enhance the hospital's diagnostic capabilities significantly.
During the inauguration ceremony, CM Yadav cut the ribbon of the CT scan room, offered prayers, and was briefed on the features of the new equipment. The government is also set to install an OPG machine and 75 dental chair units at the dental college through the Madhya Pradesh Public Health Corporation, benefiting both undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as outpatients.
CM Yadav emphasized that these new medical facilities underscore the government's dedication to enhancing healthcare services in the state. He highlighted that the advanced CT scan machine will aid in early disease detection and accurate diagnoses, while the expanded building at the dental college will provide students with access to top-notch amenities.
Moreover, during his visit to Indore, Yadav inspected the upcoming ISBT at MR-10, set to become operational by December this year. The CM announced Indore's upcoming status as the site for India's largest inter-state bus terminal (ISBT), designed akin to an airport. He expressed that this modern facility will be a prominent landmark for Indore and Madhya Pradesh, contributing significantly to the state's infrastructure.The 15-acre facility, built at a cost of Rs 101 crore by IDA, is set to enhance the travel experience for passengers, especially considering the upcoming Simhastha religious gathering. The terminal can accommodate up to 80,000 passengers daily and 1,440 buses continuously. It will include 14 ticket counters, a 1,000-vehicle parking facility, 43 bus platforms, a VIP lounge, a food court, and other amenities. The Chief Minister also inaugurated a library at Holkar Science College and addressed employees of the Sanchi Dairy Plant in Indore, assuring no job layoffs. The MP government is committed to boosting the state's dairy sector and supporting dairy cooperatives. Additionally, the CM unveiled a statue of martyr Amrita Devi Bishnoi in the city forest, symbolizing her community's environmental protection efforts. During his visit to Indore, he sought blessings from Praman Sagar Maharaj and learned about the 'Health of Indore Campaign' which involved blood tests for around 50,000 individuals.
